To allow oil to pass through the bell housing, you will be required to remove the valve from the bell housing.

First, crimp the hose inside the boat. Then simply pull the valve straight out with a pair of pliers.

The gasket that is available with the Complete Install Kit has some sealant around the oil passage hole.

This is what the oil passage on our SE116 Upper will look like when you receive it.

The gear lube filling procedure does not change. If your boat does not have a gear lube bottle mounted in the engine
compartment you simply need to make sure that the bell housing passage is blocked off or plugged.
